The Beltway Times Exclusive Scoop:
Presidential inauguration protest organizers, working on behalf of The Answer Coalition and The Partnership For Civil Justice Fund, were spotted this week distributing flyers promoting an organizer’s meeting — which was open to the public — held to strategize disruption of President-elect Trump’s inauguration on January 20th. Their official term for the effort? The “Counter-Inaugural Mobilization”.
Organizers promise that buses will be readily available to transport willing agitators into the D.C. area. They also ask for volunteers to help “hand out flyers, put up posters, make phone calls, spread the word on social media, and more”.
Their first open organization meeting was held at the Justice Center on Florida Avenue in Washington DC on December 8th.
The Partnership For Civil Justice Fund is an activist organization infamous for making large sums of money through lawsuits against public and private institutions on behalf of liberal causes. In May 2015, they received $2.2 million in a historic settlement by the U.S. Justice Department and Department of the Interior. This settlement stemmed from a lawsuit filed by their organization claiming that U.S. Park Police “intimidated and detained” protestors during a demonstration at Washington D.C.’s Pershing Park.
